Wiveliscombe Community Centre

Volunteering at Wiveliscombe Community Centre

VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED

The Centre relies on volunteers to help to run it

We have recently had a number of offers to assist us in keeping the Centre functioning, and a big thank you to those who volunteered.

We are always open to further help, especially from anyone able bodied, or who would like to join us as a Trustee. It could be anything from an hour or two every so often or regular assistance in checking that everything is running smoothly and that hirers are leaving the place ready for the next users.

There are currently two vacancies we are very keen to fill.

Fundraising Co-ordinator – to deal with applications for grants and to pursue other means for providing income for further work and ongoing maintenance.

New Works & Maintenance Co-ordinator – To identify new and remedial work needed at the Centre in order to maintain the building and outside areas and co-ordinate the various maintenance schedules

These are voluntary positions and both would suit someone who has plenty of enthusiasm for keeping the Centre running for the benefit of everyone in Wiveliscombe and the Ten Parishes.

It is YOUR Community Centre, owned by and run by the people of Wivey and the local area

Currently, we cannot afford paid help, apart from a contract cleaner

Please help us to keep it running smoothly

Thank you
The Trustees
